Login Error Messages

Q: What does the error message mean when I am logging in as a user?

Error 1: "There has been an error"

  • This message may be caused when a device is connected to a business network or VPN.
  • The network can block or impact the user experience in Rugby Xplorer.
  • You can try on your phone using your cellular data (turn off wi-fi) or by using a device linked to a different internet connection.

Error 2: "Bad Request -> User does not have a primary email to create password"

  • This is related to a linked account trying to add their email address and login.
  • To resolve:
    • Primary account logins with their details for the linked account.
    • Primary account holder adds an unique email address to the linked account and "creates a sign in" (so they too can become a primary account and login).

Error 3: "Bad Request -> invalid token"

  • This is where individuals have requested multiple reset passwords and are not clicking the latest email link to reset password. Note, as the user sends another reset password link, the previous one expires.

Error 4: "Bad Request -> Couldn't find user with the provided token"

  • This is related to a user entering an email address that does not exist in Rugby Xplorer to reset their password.
  • The user should 'create an account', or update their existing account with the new email address before they can reset their password.

Error 5: "Password reset token has expired"

  • Password links remain active for 5mins.
  • 'Password reset token has expired' means the link in the email has expired or the link is not the most recent password reset request.
  • If you received more than one email, select the most recent email, and click on the link to set your password.
