Linking Accounts

Q: How can I, as a Rugby Xplorer user, link family members to my account?
  • To link an account that has an existing Rugby ID, the information entered must be a match to what is recorded in the database to successfully link.
  • Individuals with a unique email address on their profile will receive an email asking them to verify the linking. If the new user has the same email as the primary account holder, they will be linked automatically.
  • Administrators and participants should not link to people not related to them. All players must self-register to ensure they are entering their correct personal information and accepting their national terms and conditions.

Linking an Account

  1. Click “Register”/"Linked Accounts"
  2. Click "Find a Club" or "Linked Accounts"
  3. Click “Link a new person”
  4. Read and agree to the consent checkbox
  5. Enter their First Name, Last Name, DOB and Mobile
  6. Click “Sign up”
  7. Select the profile or if they do not have an existing profile click *‘create new profile’.
    • Note, ‘Create new profile’ will create a new Rugby ID for this person, create a duplicate and will not recognise prior registrations or accreditations.
  8. Click “continue”
  9. A pop-up will appear with the following message:
    • “An email has been sent to the user requesting they verify the linking of their account. The verification token will be active for 24 hours.
  10. A verification email will be sent to member being linked. They need to click the “verify linking” button to link their records.
    • If they accept, their record will appear in your list of participants that can be registered.
    • If they decline, they will not be added to your list.
  11. Once the user has confirmed the linking, refresh your Rugby Xplorer Portal/app and you will be able to view the account by clicking “switch accounts”.

Maximum Linked Accounts

  • Linked accounts, using the same email address as the primary account, will appear in red.
  • Each national will limit the number of linked accounts an individual can have.
  • If the limit has been reached, you are unable to link any additional records.
  • Steps on un-linking accounts can be found here.
