Match Day Scoring
Q: How can I, as team admin, score the match and enter in incidents and injuries using the Rugby Match Day app?
Note
- You must have 'Team Admin' or 'Scoring Admin' user permissions and for your competition to be published before you score the match in Rugby Match Day App.
Scoring Options
- Score my Team: recommended option, as you will only be required to manage your own team's scores and movements.
- Score both Teams: when only one scorer will manage both team's scores and movements. Both team managers should not select this as it will duplicate the scores.
Match Day Scoring
- Open Rugby Match Day App
- Click “Match Day” tab
- The 'Current' match will stay at the top of the list, with matches are displayed in date and time order, until midnight of the day of the fixture.
- Previous rounds and/or matches with the date in the past will drop to the bottom of the list.
- Click socring option
- Recommended: “Score for my team”
- Click “First Half” button to begin the game.
- The button will change from blue to green when the first half is in progress.
- Scoring
- Click relevant scoring event
- Select Player and click "next"
- Enter match time, default is 00:00, but recommended to add in the best estimate.
- Click "Confirm"
Note
- Any changes to scoring events need to be updated via the Feed prior to finalising the match.
- Movements
- Click Substitution movement
- Select Substitution reason
- Select Player coming OFF, they will be highlighted in RED
- Select Player coming ON, they will be highlighted in GREEN
- Click "Next"
- Enter match time, default is 00:00, but recommended to add in the best estimate.
- Click "Confirm"
- Click Yellow Card, Red Card, Blue Card/Concussion and/or Serious Injury
- Select Movement
- Select reason
- Select Player and click "next"
- Enter match time, default is 00:00, but recommended to add in the best estimate.
- Click "Confirm"
- Click Substitution movement
- Feed
- Details the scoring and movements in chronological order, based on the time entered against the scoring and movement events.
- You will see a red minus button next to each of these for your own team, which you can remove and then re-add the scoring/movement event.
- Opposition scores and movements will appear, and will have a grey minus button next to them when 'score my team' is selected.
- Cards
- Summary of all cards given throughout the match.
- The referee will need to check the 'Cards' tab at the end of the match.
- Second Half
- Confirm the half-time score before changing to the Second Half.
- This button will change from blue to green when the second half is in progress.
- End
- Click "End" to finalise the match.
- Ensure the refere has confirmed the final score and cards entered by both teams.
- A pop-up will appear with the final score and any appointed referees listed.
Referees
- Appointed Referees will appear listed.
- If a referee did not turn up to the match, team admin can untick their name and add the name of the person who filled in for them.
- This will be sent as a 'No Show' to their appointment board admin for investigation.
- Click "Confirm"
- Match is now locked and uneditable.
Additional Features ... (top-right hand corner)
- Team List
- Team admins can go back to the Team List and add/remove players and team officials.
- Uncontested Scrums
- Needs to be entered for competitions playing with contested scrums.
- Select the Team and Reason from dropdown
- Add in Duration (minutes)
- Click "Confirm"
- Dispute a Match
- Select Team in Dispute, Dispute Reasons (can add multiple) and provide detail for disputing.
- Please note, this information including the extra detail will be sent to both clubs and competition manager.
- Click “Confirm”
- Forfeit a Match
- Select the Team Forfeiting
- Select when the Forfeit occured (this will impact upon competition rules)
- Before Match
- During Match
- Please provide details for forfeiting game
- Click "Next" and "Confirm"
