Referee Yellow Card Report

Q: How can I, as a referee, submit a yellow card report in my Rugby Xplorer Portal?


Referees appointed to matches through Rugby Xplorer by their referee club can submit a yellow card report in their Rugby Xplorer Portal

  1. Referee > Appointments
  2. Click "Yellow Card Report" button
  3. Form will open
    • Dropdowns of players selected on the team lists will display. The player(s) who received a yellow card will show Name (Yellow Card).
    • Free text fields for the additional questions with example responses displayed.
  4. Click "Submit"

Notifications

  • The competition manager and referee club admins will receive an email notification when a yellow card report has been submitted by the referee and/or assistant referees. 
  • Referee club admins have the ability to edit the yellow card report and review the yellow card report so that the competition manager can view the “reviewed” yellow card reports.

Send Off Report (Admin Portal)

Competition Managers

  • Competition managers will see the report as soon as its created. They will know if it has been reviewed by the referee club admin based on the status of the report. Ensure you confirm the process for yellow card report transmission to competition managers (some may still want you to email the pdf).

Referee Club Admin

  • Referee club admins should proof-read yellow card reports and fix errors before changing the status to ‘reviewed’ (e.g. poorly spelled or worded, or wrong law selected, etc.).
  • Referees cannot edit the player name, etc fields at the top of the report. The referee will need to resubmit the report or use a pdf editor to change the name of the player.

Downloading Yellow Card Report

  1. Club admin > Competition Management > Send-off Reports
  2. Search for report by player name or team name.
  3. Click on the report to open
  4. Click ‘edit’ if anything needs fixing
  5. Click ‘Mark as Reviewed’ to change status from pending to reviewed.
  6. Click ‘Download PDF’ to be emailed a link to download the report as a pdf
  7. Click ‘Delete’ to delete the report (e.g. it’s a duplicate or the referee needs to re-do from scratch)
