Rugby Event Admin Transferring/Removing Players & Team Officials

Q: How can I, as a rugby event organiser, move (transfer) players and/or team officials from one team to another team? Or remove players and/or team officials from teams completely?


Transferring Players and/or Team Officials Between Teams

Rugby Event organisers can transfer/move players and/or team officials between teams, provided the teams are the same age level. For example, transferring Player from Blue Team (age level: seniors) to Green Team (age level: seniors). 

  1. Admin > Entities > Teams
  2. Click into the Team the player/team official is currently in
  3. Click “Squad”
  4. Select “Players” or “Non-Players”
  5. Next to the participant you wish to move click “Transfer” button
  6. From the dropdown select the Available Team the participant will be moved into
  7. Click “Save”
  8. Player/Team official will now appear in the new team.

Note

  • The Rugby Event Registration Report will show the original team the player/team official registered into. The Squad List Report will show the player/team official in their new team. 
  • If you are moving a player into a team that has reached it’s maximum number of players (i.e. shows ‘Team is FULL’), you will need to “swap” a player from one team to another and then “Save”.
  • There is no maximum number of team officials per team.

Removing Players and/or Team Officials from Teams

Rugby Event organisers can remove players and/or team officials from teams. Please note, by removing a player/team official this will deregister them from the rugby event. They will need to re-register to become active again. 

  1. Admin > Entities > Teams
  2. Click into the Team the player/team official is currently in
  3. Click “Squad”
  4. Select “Players” or “Non-Players”
  5. Next to the participant you wish to remove click “rubbish bin” icon
  6. Select the reason from removal from the dropdown (injury, unable to attend, other)
  7. Click “Proceed”
  8. "Deregistered successfully" will appear on the top right hand corner of the screen and the player/team official will be removed from the team

Note

  • The Rugby Event Registration Report will show the player/team official with a status of 'deregistered'.
