Q: How can I, as a competition manager, select which fixtures, results, ladders and/or rounds are displayed publicly for my competition?
- Under the Publish tab in your competition, competition managers can choose what is shown publicly in the Rugby Xplorer app and Rugby Xplorer websites.
- Competitions will also display in the Rugby Xplorer app (when individuals have followed your club and/or competition) and on the entity's respective Rugby Xplorer websites: https://xplorer.rugby/.
Competition Management > Competitions > Publish tab.
- ‘Display Competition Publicly’ will show the full competition (as default) on your respective websites, in the Rugby Xplorer app and for participants who follow their respective teams. We recommend this one is always ticked.
- Competition Managers can restrict this to specific rounds only under 'Publish Rounds'. Default will be all rounds in the competition (as per competition setup).
- ‘Display Results Publicly’ will show the results of individual matches, for example, Team A 10 v Team B 5. This is optional and is often dependent on the level of competition.
- Results will show for the specific published rounds.
- ‘Display Ladder Publicly’ will show the ladder results for the competition. This is optional and is often dependent on the level of competition.
- ‘Display Team Lists Publicly’ is the individual players and team officials selected in the team list for each match. This is optional and is often dependent on the level of competition.
- Once you have ticked your options, click “Save”
Unpublished Competition
There are several reasons why a competition is not showing in Rugby Xplorer or Match Day.
- Competition has not been made public by the competition manager.
- The competition manager has options to show the competition, results, ladders and/or team lists. Some competitions may only publish a couple of these options.
- Draw has not been published.
- The competition manager will publish the draw once available.
- Once available, admins will be able to see the fixtures and results in the Rugby Match Day app.
- Depending on the publish settings, this may or may not display in the Rugby Xplorer app.
- Competition manager has not created the competition.
- Your competition may not be set up yet. Once the competition manager creates the competition and publishes it, it will show in the Rugby Xplorer app and Match Day, dependent on the publish settings.
- On occasion, the team may not be assigned to competition.
- Your club can contact the competition manager as they will need to update their allocated teams in the competition and update the matches (can occur for combined teams).
- User has not been granted admin permissions to access Match Day.
- 'Not available' will appear when you have not been granted team admin user permissions and/or the competition has not been published yet.
