Q: How can an competition admin (e.g. association, conference, geographical union, provincial union) add and/or delete a venue? How can admins add fields and/or blockout dates for venues?

Adding Venues

Entity admins can add venues when they don't appear in the list. Please note, the list is seen by all admins in your national and we recommend searching for your venue before creating a new one. 

1. Entities > Venues
2. Search for existing venues
3. Click “Add Venue” if venue is not found
4. Add the following: 
5. Venue name 
6. Time zone 
7. Address (Google address)
8. Click “Save”

Deleting Venues

Entity admins can also delete a venue, only if it has not been assigned to a fixture in the current and/or previous seasons. 

1. Entities > Venues
2. Search for existing venue
3. Click into venue
4. Click "Delete"
5. One of two things will occur:
   1. Confirm you wish to delete this venue and the venue will be deleted. 
   2. A message will appear that you cannot delete the venue because it has been assigned to a fixture. 

Adding Fields for Venues

1. Entities > Venues
2. Search for existing venue
3. Click into venue
4. In 'Details' tab, add Fields and allowed playing areas 
   • For example, 1, full field, 1/2 field, 1/4 field 
   • Repeat for each field at the venue
5. Click "Save"

Adding Blockout Dates for Venues

1. Entities > Venues
2. Search for existing venue
3. Click into venue
4. In 'Block out Dates' tab,
   • Add from and too date and time,
   • Add field number, playing area and/or section,
   • Add in reason
   • Click "+" button 
5. This will blockout the venue from being allocated to a match via the Create Match, Edit Match, Draw Builder, Redo Draw and/or Draw Import functionality. 
6. When matches are assigned to venues, they will also be added to the blockout dates.
